Dog Door Repair & Replacement Parts
Torn flap? Failing seal? Loose frame? We stock parts for the major pet-door brands and can usually fix it in a single visit.
Repair or replace?
A well-installed pet door should last 10+ years — but flaps, magnets, and weather seals wear out well before the frame does. If the frame is straight and the opening is sound, a parts swap is almost always the right call. If the frame is cracked, warped, or was never installed correctly, replacement is usually the cheaper long-term fix.
Book a repair visitCommon issues we fix
Torn or curled flap
Vinyl flaps stiffen and tear in Colorado sun and cold. Most major pet-door brands sell replacement flaps that fit their original frames — bring us the make and model and we'll source the right part.
Broken magnets or brushes
Weather brushes and magnets keep drafts out. Both are cheap parts that transform how the door performs.
Failing weather seal
Compressed foam and gasket seals leak air. We re-seal the frame and restore the R-value.
Loose or cracked frame
Usually from an amateur install. We can re-secure or swap the frame without redoing the opening.
Parts we carry
- Replacement flaps (single, dual, insulated)
- Frames, trim rings, and tunnels
- Magnetic strips and weather brushes
- Slide-in security / lockout panels
- Hardware kits, fasteners, and gaskets
Turnaround & pricing
Most repairs are completed in a single visit within 3–7 business days of booking. Typical repair calls run $95–$275 including parts, depending on brand and complexity. We'll quote firm before any work starts.
FAQ — when to repair vs. replace
When is repair the right call?
Frame is straight and solid, opening is clean, and only flaps, seals, or hardware are worn — replace parts and you'll get years more out of it.
When should I replace?
Cracked or warped frame, water intrusion around the opening, or an under-sized door your pet has outgrown. Replacement is often close to repair-cost once labor is factored in.
