French doors vs. sliding glass
French doors have narrower panes, taller stiles, and often decorative grids. That makes them different to install into than a sliding patio door — the pet door goes into a single leaf (usually the inactive one) so the other door keeps its full swing. The active door stays fully lockable and looks untouched.
We use tempered safety glass with the cutout pre-fabricated, then swap the new pane into your existing sash. The install stays hidden from the exterior and finishes flush with your interior trim.

Does it work on double French doors?
Yes. We install into the inactive leaf so the active door still swings and locks normally.
Are there security concerns?
Every install includes a slide-in lockable security panel that closes the opening completely. Combined with the door's own deadbolt, security matches the original door.
